Nanowrimo!

As I'm sure some of you know, November is National Novel Writing Month (or Nanowrimo.) More or less, it's a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in a single month. It's a "contest" in the same vein as the 24 Hour Comic; there are no prizes or competition really, it's just a personal challenge to yourself to finish something within the allotted time.

I tried last year, but I started late and didn't get very far. This year, I am totally going all the way. I have no real idea what kind of a story I'm going to write; I'm just going to freakin' write it. It's just 1,666 words per day. No problem :)

Just a random post, nothing much to say. I just wanted to show a painting that I finished this morning.Let's see, anything else? Uh, I just finished reading Spook Country by William Gibson, and it was pretty good. Not his best work, but still very readable. It's set in the same world as his earlier book Pattern Recognition, which is one of my favorites.
