What the hell?

Today was a good day.

Today was a good day.

Went to work, no major trauma. Skipped out at about 2:00, headed into Boston. Hit Newbury Comics near government center, grabbed a couple of comics, and sat in the park for a couple of hours. It was a bit chilly and drizzly, a nice change from the heat and humidity of the past couple of days.

I got a lot of work done in class for my comic. Finished the rough layouts for the first six or so pages, and worked out a lot of the dialogue, too. I just need to get some full size bristol and some vellum to get really started on the pencils and inking. I am seriously thinking of springing for a light table. Don't know where the hell I am going to find a power socket for it.

Two more classes to go, and I plan on having the first eight pages of my book inked and colored by the last class. Definitely at least four, but I am going for eight, which is basically the first act of the first issue. A teaser, of sorts.

Learned a couple of good inking techniques. I want to do more stippling, did some interesting little sketches in class. Need more practice. Here is a random doodle that became face-like.

Going to attempt a self portrait using stippling at some point.

When I got back to Oak Grove station, who do I run into but Mr. Josh and Mr. Shawn, who I have been out of contact with for a couple of months now. They were heading into town to meet Mr. Josh's brother for a drink. I tagged along. Went to chili's. Had a margarita. Merriment was had by all. Hanging out with them again on Saturday. Nintendo and beer. Good to see them sons of bitches again.

Haven't talked to Sarah in a couple of days and I miss her terribly. I said I would give her space, and I will. She can still send an email or text message just to say hi if she wanted to, wink wink, nudge nudge.

Peace out.
