Books are Cool.

I've read some good books lately. Anansi Boys was pretty good, a little disappointing after American Gods but still a fun book. I sort of blame myself, my imagination has felt a little sluggish lately, and it didn't zing the way it could have if I was in a different head-place. Regardless, all Neil Gaiman's books rock, and I recommend his stuff highly. The Colorado Kid by Stephen King was a weird short mystery with a definate lack of resolution, which only made it weirder. I liked it.

Angry White Pyjamas is a cool little memoir. It's the story of Robert Twigger, a bored english poet living in Japan who on a whim ended up going through a brutal one year Aikido class with the Tokyo Riot Police. Inspirational little tale. Little bit like a real life Fight Club. Makes me want to quit my job and life and start going to the dojo as much as possible, instead of once or twice a week. If college doesn't pan out this semester, I may do just that.
