Notes from the Front Line
Hello gentle readers. Its been a while since my last post. Here's what has been going on. I am working very hard at school, trying to stay one step ahead of all my classes and such. I am enjoying school a lot. After more or less 10 years of working in the real world, it is a very nice to be back in a classroom. I still feel like a bit of an outsider. I still haven't made any freinds or even acquaintences yet, but I am not too worried. Oh, that's not totally true. I met a nice young woman who happened to be the person who stole my first apartment. Hahah!
I like the classes I am taking so far: Intro to Psychology, Intro to Political Science:Comparative Gov't, Intro to Statistics, College Writing II, and Forms of Speech. I have some concerns about each class, I am not really sure what is expected of me in some, but overall it's good so far. I have taken a couple of quizzes and wrote a short little paper and I think I did well on them but I haven't gotten anything back yet. I have a 4 page paper to write for next week and a speech to prepare, so I have stuff to do this weekend. I also am starting my work study job this weekend. I am going to be watching the Main St. 51 Gallery on Sunday 11-6. Nice. Should be a good chance to do some homework. I also am going to help out with shows that they put on.
I dig my apartment still. It's way too much space for one person, but I don't mind. I have one bedroom set up as a studio, and hopefully this weekend I will get a chance to do some art stuff. Exciting news: My car didn't start this morning! Yeah! I think the battery is dead. My nice neighbor Joe gave me a ride to school as I was about to start walking, which was very nice. I owe him one.
I still need to put up some pictures, hopefully soon.
