Reptilian Serum

As I was walking into the supermarket this evening, a gentleman wearing far too many layers of clothing muttered 'Reptilian serum, man.' as I passed him. I was listening to my mp3 player as he said this, and he was saying other things but that particular phrase stood out clear as day. I wonder what the hell he was thinking when he said that?
