Feeling Sluggish. . .

I am feeling quite sluggish these days. I guess I can chalk it up to a combination of oppressive heat, recurrent insomnia, an effervescent malaise and good old-fashioned generalized ennui.

I am sitting on the front porch in my office, watching the birds There is a nasty haze in the air. I have a cup of ice coffee, homemade from Folgers (tm) brand instant coffee, and it seems that I have finally reached the level of caffeine tolerance where there is no effect whatsoever. I am contemplating taking a hiatus from the coffee (and perhaps alcohol as well), just to see what happens. I am almost certain it will not be good.
